Hajar El Moustaassim studied design at the "Institut National Institut des Beaux Arts" at Tétouan and technology of clothing and production at the "Institut Specialisé des Technologies Appliquées" in Marrakech.  She takes part at a number of group exhibitions in Morokko.  2022 El Moustaassim became member of the" Académie des

Arts-Sciences -Lettres de Paris" and was priced with the silver medal.

With her art Hajar El Moustaassim shows a special perspective of the position of women in Morokko. Using several ways of technique and themes, she connects the way of life of traditional and modern women and reflects their position in a patriarchal world.

Beginning with a label for clothes and accessory, which connect traditional and modern design, the artist continued  with a series of paintings and collages, showing women with a bycicle: Traditionally only used by boys or men, for women the bike becomes an instrument on the way to freedom. Actually El Moussaassim works about the chanteuse Cheika Kharboucha, following the path of berberian women between suppression and fight for freedom.

The artist Hajar El Moustaassim  shows a genial and reflecting view at tradition and future of female life in the space of Arabian culture. With different themes and materials, between past and presence, she reflects  the construction of female existence in North Africa
